Janis after Janis Joplin, who struggled to be alone with herself as most of us can dearly relate to. Most of us resist the skillset that would help us to stay open and flexible and flowing … even in high-sensation dynamic psychedelic reality.

high sensation (intense stimulation either subtle or obvious)
dynamic (constantly changing, full of energy)
psychedelic (powerfully multi-faceted)
reality (layered experiencing – emotional, mental, phsyical, spiritual, moral).

This resistance is called conditioning and I’m out to undo it.

This is about riding the YES current of the universe & getting free.

Actual sovereignty that enables copacetic collaborating – – – harmonic synergistic interdependence – - –

Most of us we have known ourselves in the experience of favouring the use of some kind of substance to help us cope with the felt-intensity of high-sensation dynamic psychedelic reality. Alcohol. Drugs. Sugar. Caffeine. Screens. Sex.

One of the ideas here with Janis Revival and the target patches is that just breath and body awareness (somatic engagement) is all we need to navigate high-sensation dynamic psychedelic reality really really well – – – – – – – – – pleasurably, successfully, compassionately.

In one documentary about the life of Janis Joplin her sister is recorded saying that it was as if Janis walked around wearing a target because she was picked on a lot in Texas especially because of her anti-segregation politics. The target patches are about equality among all people through the sameness of our systems (us being just tubes inside bubbles funnelling energy).

The crafts I make and the workshops or interactive art I offer are my best efforts to express the opportunities I experience all around me to integrate enjoyably to access inner and outer ease.

once upon a time I was really hurting myself shrouded in the narcissistic conditioning of our culture (separation from our own centre causing insecurity that blocks connection). Life was an unpleasant spiralling puzzle to be solved, an endless chain of broken pieces to be fixed. Exhaustion. Now I understand there is nothing to judge… but there is connection to access that liberates highly-functional fulfilled human individuals.

There is an undying connection alive and well within each of us, just waiting to be recognized and given the go-head to flow and meet all of its own needs with ease. Circulation is essential. Circulation through the layers of being ~ emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, moral.

Janis came to me in my early twenties during a trance-like state thanks to Huna healing (Hawaiian energy work) – she crawled in my lap and sat across my arms like a small child and said, “you gotta make it, man”. So I’ve done my best to honour that request and I’m really deeply pleased with what I am presenting my community at this time. Honoured to be here. It is a privilege to be on Earth, enjoying this land, communing with nature and each other. Thank-you.
